About Us

Nestled in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside, between the picturesque towns of Bewdley and Ludlow, The Plough Inn is a family-run, free-house restaurant celebrated for its warm hospitality, traditional character, and outstanding food.

Our cosy interior, complete with original beams and open fires, creates a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere — perfect for everything from casual lunches to special occasions.

Set in the beautiful village of Far Forest, we’re a popular stop for walkers, cyclists, families, and those simply looking to unwind with a drink in the sunshine. You’ll find a well-stocked bar offering real ales, fine wines, and a wide selection of beverages, all served with a smile by our friendly team.

We’re proud to serve one of the best carveries in the region — and even prouder to be one of only two official AGA carveries in the UK, alongside our sister pub, Ye Olde Punchbowl Inn in Bridgnorth.

Our à la carte menu is equally impressive, featuring a variety of dishes created by our talented chefs using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Every dish is freshly prepared on-site, with care and quality in every bite.

Whether you're joining us for a legendary Sunday roast, something special from our à la carte menu, or simply a relaxing drink in our charming rural setting — Mark and Louise Giles, along with their welcoming team, look forward to seeing you soon at The Plough Inn.
